Enabling the payment community’s environmental paradigm shift

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a major concern for IDEMIA and our customers alike. Trust, transparency, and accountability are expected not only of IDEMIA but right through our supply chain. As a responsible corporate citizen, IDEMIA is committed to taking action to address our impacts while protecting the environment, supporting local populations, and bringing about positive changes to society.
IDEMIA recognizes that a commitment to CSR must be enduring—in essence, CSR is a marathon, not a sprint. For IDEMIA, it’s a long-term approach for continuous improvement with a readiness to adapt according to changes in legislation, trends, customer expectations, global crises, as well as movements that we have a moral obligation to support and respond to. The success of our CSR efforts relies on the contributions of everyone at IDEMIA.
In 2021, IDEMIA launched its new CSR program—IDEMIA IMPACT—aiming to re-define sustainable business through 17 priorities under 5 key pillars by 2023. With IDEMIA IMPACT, we are driving positive change across our business and every community in which we operate.
IDEMIA’s CSR performance is annually assessed for progress and effectiveness. IDEMIA has been granted a Platinum certification from EcoVadis, placing IDEMIA in the top 1% of participating companies across all industries.
Since 2006, IDEMIA has supported the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. Embedding into our business Ten Principles regarding the environment, anti-corruption, human rights and labor, IDEMIA IMPACT is most closely aligned with seven of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Each year, IDEMIA participates in the Carbon Disclosure Project by making a publically visible climate change disclosure. In 2020, the CDP awarded IDEMIA a C for its climate change performance.
CSR requires collaboration between the organization and our stakeholders. To check the direction of our CSR strategic actions, we have conducted a materiality exercise. Key stakeholders identified that anti-corruption, data privacy, human rights, and employee well-being were among the most important topics for IDEMIA to focus on.
IDEMIA’s Executive Committee approves and monitors our corporate responsibility roadmap and priorities; considering our impacts, material issues identified by stakeholders, our commitment to the UN Global Compact and compliance with the law.
IDEMIA’s CSR roadmap and priorities are managed through five key pillars:
