Logical Access Control

Enabling secure access to corporate IT resources

Logical Access Control IDEMIA

Logical Access Control (LAC) uses PKI-based1 credentials and advanced biometric security features, while Physical Access Control (PAC) uses keys and badges.

With IDEMIA’s middleware installed on corporate devices such as workstations, tablets, or smartphones, customers can implement and deploy their own logical access control policies with maximum security. Users are strongly authenticated and are granted access to their corporation’s secured resources using state-of-the-art protected credentials holders such as smartcards or secure tokens.

IDEMIA’s middleware enables a seamless integration with the customer’s PKI while enabling the partner’s Credential Management Systems (CMS) to implement the authentication credentials and authorization policies.

Based on this long-standing expertise, IDEMIA is the first provider of its kind of middleware for mobile (Android & iOS) and web-based applications. IDEMIA has more than 15 years of experience maintaining and enhancing such middleware feature sets—making it the most reliable and stable solution on the market.
