IDEMIA, MobileIron and Microsoft ready to support eSIM-enabled laptops and PCs in the Enterprise

More and more modern devices with eSIM connectivity are being introduced to the market, and Enterprises looking to equip their workforce can now take advantage of the partnership between IDEMIA and MobileIron.

This February we announced that IDEMIA, MobileIron, and Microsoft would be working together to bring eSIM and connectivity management capabilities to the MobileIron UEM*/MDM* platforms.

Today we are happy to share that the integration between the companies’ respective platforms is complete and ready to support Enterprises that are looking to introduce eSIM devices to their workforce.

Connectivity is the foundation for the digital transformation that’s happening across the world and across all industries today. Soon all forms of consumer and IoT devices will be connected – from tablets and laptops to autonomous vehicles and remote sensors. IDEMIA’s Smart Connect Platform is designed to support all eSIM use cases and simplify the entire eSIM management lifecycle for mobile operators.
Emir Aboulhosn, VP Digital Domains Connectivity at IDEMIA

Always-connected devices are quickly becoming the standard across the industry, whether it’s smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, laptops, and more. It’s no surprise that end-users’ productivity and satisfaction increase with always-connected devices, and eSIM is opening up these possibilities. For Enterprise workers who are always on the go, being connected anywhere and securely to business-critical systems and colleagues across the globe makes all the difference in the world.

For Enterprises using mobile device management (MDM) or unified endpoint management (UEM) solutions like MobileIron, the partnership brings the ability to manage mobile operator connectivity for eSIM devices directly within the existing portal. Enterprise IT and Procurement teams won’t have to order and manage inventory of physical SIM cards, or log in to a separate portal to manage subscriptions. It’s all done through the MobileIron interface, and eSIM profiles can be pushed directly to users’ devices in the background.

IDEMIA and MobileIron will be attending Microsoft Inspire event in Las Vegas, Nevada from July 15 to 18. For more information or to schedule a meeting, get in touch with us here.
