38 mobile operators representing 22 markets worldwide and serving over 2.5 billion consumers are already delivering Mobile Connect, a standardized GSMA mobile ID solution that enables simple, secure and password-free authentication and access to online services via mobile phone, desktop or tablet. From June 8 to 9, industry experts will come together during the Mobile Connect Summit in London to discuss this forward-looking authentication solution.
Visitors will have the opportunity to find out about progress with Mobile Connect globally, to network, to discuss the technical implementation and telecom-related ID case studies and – especially – to learn more about new opportunities offered by the solution.
The upcoming Release 2 of GSMA’s Mobile Connect specification includes biometrics capabilities and the new business cases for Mobile Connect which they enable.
At Safran Identity & Security we have been working on the integration of mobile biometrics and mobile identity for some time. We have taken our GSMA Mobile Connect-compliant solution one step further by integrating biometric verification at the point of customer registration plus FIDO-certified selfie-check capability, using biometric authentication to approve transactions.
Additionally, we already collected experiences of seamless integration of our customer registration and ID verification solution in the world’s most ambitious biometric identity program, “Aadhaar” in India. You can discover more about these demos here: Mobile Connect with FIDO video, Aadhaar Telecom registration video.
