F.CODE: the most advanced second generation biometric payment card certified by VISA and Mastercard

IDEMIA is proud to announce a worldwide first: VISA and Mastercard certifications for the most advanced second generation biometric card, F.CODE

We are proud to announce that F.CODE, the most advanced second generation biometric card, has obtained full certification from both VISA and Mastercard.

The F.CODE card complies with the most demanding performance and security criteria set by Visa and Mastercard for a secure, fast, and convenient payment experience. This challenge was achieved through radical integration of the discrete components into a single chip called the Bio-Secure Element, along with deep optimization of the biometry processing algorithms.

This design delivers a simpler and more efficient architecture without the need for an additional microcontroller, and enables faster transactions.

Market research shows that consumers are ready to embrace biometric payments: 76% of consumers are interested in using contactless for high value payments and 81% of consumers are ready to use their fingerprints to authenticate instead of PIN code*.

To ensure consumer privacy—and for maximum security—the biometric data is stored in the secure element and never leaves the card.
This second generation of F.CODE biometric payment card is available now, along with custom packaging and a full panel of enrollment solutions, whether at the bank branch with a tablet or at home with a small device called ‘sleeve’.
