IDEMIA Secure Transactions Selected to Power France’s Next-Generation Secure Broadband Network for Domestic Security and Emergency Services

The RRF, operated by ACMOSS, represents a generational shift in technology. It will progressively replace the outdated Tetrapol network with a cutting-edge 4G/5G high-speed solution. This new infrastructure will enable first responders to carry out real-time communications, including critical ones, and to exchange voice, data, images, and video in real time, even under the most demanding operational conditions.

By 2027, more than 300,000 users, including police officers, gendarmes, firefighters, emergency medical services, customs officials, armed forces and justice personnel, will benefit from a unified, interoperable, and resilient communication system. Beyond the technological upgrade, the RRF paves the way for entirely new capabilities by providing a nationwide network that is priority-driven, secure, and very high-speed.

A technological leap backed by IDEMIA Secure Transactions’ expertise

As part of this partnership, IDEMIA Secure Transactions (IST), a French global leader in secure connectivity solutions, brings its recognized expertise to guarantee continuous communications for emergency responders in critical situations.

Through its dedicated platform, combining advanced SIM technology (eUICC), remote network management (OTA) and subscription management services, IST delivers state-of-the-art connectivity that ensures data protection, nationwide resilience, and network flexibility, while simplifying deployment and operations for first responders.

These technologies are designed to meet the stringent requirements of critical communications, where every second counts and the reliability of exchanges is paramount. The decision to select IST reflects recognition of its technological leadership and underscores the importance of entrusting such a major project to a French player, ensuring better sovereignty over national communications.
