Safran supplies terminals for the Catalonia lottery in Spain

Safran Identity & Security announced today that it has delivered 2,500 S8 lottery terminals to the Catalonia Lottery in Spain, within the scope of a strategic partnership with Novomatic Lottery Solutions (NLS). The software embedded in these terminals was developed in conjunction with Lotsys, a subsidiary of Française des Jeux (FDJ), the French lottery operator.

This latest contract clearly confirms the capabilities of Safran's gaming terminals, along with our ability to mobilize technical and industrial resources to offer solutions tailored to our customers' specific needs.
Samuel Fringant, EVP, Security Division, Safran Identity & Security

The NLS system is a state of the art solution utilizing the most modern technologies in the industry. It was important to us that this was the case end to end. This is why we chose Safran as our partners for the retail element of our solution. Sharing the same values of quality, technology and performance made Safran a perfect fit.
Miriam Lindhorst, CEO de NLS, the Catalonia Lottery operator

The terminals were successfully commissioned throughout Catalonia on April 1, 2016. Nearly 900 screens that display information for players were also supplied as part of the contract. This was Safran's first gaming terminal contract in Spain, and its first time teaming up with NLS.

More than 90,000 S8 terminals have been delivered worldwide, making it the global benchmark for multifunction terminals with an A4 scanner. Like all of Safran's modular terminals, it can be customized to adapt to the specific needs of each lottery or betting operator.
