Proving your identity with a smartphone
IDEMIA is pleased to announce its partnership with Samsung to bring mobile drivers licenses and state IDs to Samsung Wallet. This exciting initiative leverages IDEMIA’s expertise in identity services and credentials issuance as well as our privileged access to government systems of record. Samsung Galaxy smartphone users will soon have a convenient and highly secure way to store state-issued IDs and drivers licenses within the Samsung Wallet. Arizona and Iowa will be the first states to roll out, with additional states following in 2024.
Mobile drivers licenses are at the forefront of identification technology, with use cases ranging from safe age-restricted purchases to expedited airport security checks. These certified Digital IDs, authenticated and issued by state DMVs, ensure personal information is securely stored on the user’s device, all under the complete control of the license holder, thus elevating convenience and security in everyday activities.
As the global leader in identity technologies, IDEMIA is proud to be recognized as a company that delivers identity with integrity. This partnership with Samsung will enable us to further deliver on our mission to make identity services safer, easier, and more accessible for all.
