IDEMIA Secure Transactions showcases IDEMIA Sphere HSM at INCYBER Forum 2026

Advancing data sovereignty and scalable encryption with hardware-rooted security layer.

At INCYBER Forum 2026, IDEMIA Secure Transactions (IST) reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to cybersecurity, positioning itself as one of the key players in hardware-rooted security solution providers.

From innovation to real-world impact

A key highlight of IST’s presence at the forum is the continued rollout of its hardware security module, IDEMIA Sphere HSM, launched in September 2025. Its introduction comes at a pivotal moment, as organizations face mounting pressure to future-proof their security infrastructures, especially considering the growing quantum threat. At the core of IST’s cybersecurity offering is a new architectural model for HSMs that leverages a matrix of secure elements. Unlike traditional HSMs, this architecture makes each secure element a tamper-resistant microcontroller capable of both protecting cryptographic keys and executing cryptographic operations, enabling parallel cryptographic operations and delivering pay-as-you-grow scalability.

Designed and manufactured in Europe, the solution embodies a sovereign-by-design approach to ensure full control over critical security technologies, strengthen data sovereignty, and support Europe’s strategic autonomy in cybersecurity.

Establishing a trusted cybersecurity partner

IST’s move into cybersecurity is a natural evolution of its longstanding expertise in securing payment systems and connectivity solutions used by billions worldwide.

This ambition builds on decades of cryptographic expertise, now applied to emerging cybersecurity challenges, particularly those linked to sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and the rapidly evolving threat landscape.

Strengthening Europe’s cybersecurity ecosystem

IST’s strategy is further reinforced through its partnership with Hexatrust, a key network of trusted cybersecurity providers dedicated to enhancing Europe’s digital resilience. This collaboration positions IST within the decision-making layer of the European cybersecurity ecosystem that supports three major objectives of digital sovereignty, post-quantum preparedness, and regulatory alignment, embedding compliance with frameworks such as eIDAS 2.0, GDPR, NIS2, DORA, and CRA by design.

IDEMIA Secure Transactions is committed to cybersecurity for the long term. We aim to establish ourselves as a durable actor in hardware-rooted security and a trusted partner for governments, regulators, and operators of critical infrastructure across Europe.
